Fighting for school attendance in Morocco

2011 - 2014

Since 2011, our foundation has been supporting E.M.A. (Enfance Maghreb Avenir), an association that works to improve the education of disadvantaged Moroccan youth.

In 2011, this partnership enabled the renovation of Matar Nouaceur, an elementary school located near our factory. In 2012, our foundation renewed its partnership in this area in order to renovate the sports facilities at Dakhla Middle School. The school is located near Matar Nouaceur Elementary School and welcomes over 1500 students each year. By providing access to sports activities we aim to increase attendance rates by boosting motivation and team spirit; fostering respect among students and teachers, as well as between students; and reducing gender disparities.

Thanks to the renovations completed last December, the middle school now has a basketball court, a volleyball court, a handball court, a running track, a long jump runway, a small soccer field, and locker rooms.  Our contribution fully financed the running track and long jump runway.

The inauguration will take place soon, attended by our Casablanca factory director, Mr. Abbas, his predecessor, Mr. Raffy, and the governor of Nouaceur province. To learn more, click here
